First of September
After many a year spent in school, including college, there's always an odd rush I feel when September comes. If there's a letdown at summer's end, it's balanced by a sense of anticipation. Feelings like that don't fade quickly.
Potions Obsession
I turned my back for two seconds, I swear.
Everything was so nice and neat. Then I turned away for two seconds --- all right, perhaps two weeks --- and the bottles and phials began breeding: My lab started spreading across the floor again, like the weird fungus it is.
